To provide relevant and appropriate training to individuals those that enter and work in spaces where asbestos, lead and silica exposure exist and ensuring that the syllabus and instruction materials are in strict accordance with WORKSAFEBC Occupational Health and Safety Regulation Part 6.
The training course is based on WORKSAFEBC Occupational Health and Safety Regulation Part 6 for safe working requirements when entering the spaces containing asbestos, lead and silica dust. The training provided by Metro Safety Training Inc. consists of two parts. The first part is based on the theoretical instruction from our in-depth training modules. These consist of slide shows, videos, lecture materials, and questionnaires. The second part is the practical portion. This part consists of being fit tested for respiratory protective equipment, handling hand and power equipment, identifying hazardous elements.
All students will have ample opportunity to work with the instructor so that they can be fully evaluated and certified. Our goal is to certify safe, skilled workers and students.
